Malcolm Fisher (b. Glasgow 1958) is a Scottish composer and musician with a passion for nature, photography, and architecture.
Both his music and photographs interlink, sharing the same sensibility and sources of inspiration, in particular nature in all its manifestations.
Fisher’s music aims to transport the listener to a serene place where their imagination is stimulated.
Despite primarily piano based, Fisher’s music doesn’t shy away from incorporating various instruments or electronic sounds - provided they enrich and communicate the ideas and atmospheres in mind.
Anything can be a starting point: a raindrop, a leaf, a bird's cry, a chimney, a fisherman's net, an old building.
Prior to starting a career as a solo musician, Fisher recorded music with the group The French Impressionists (available via LTM Records).
Malcolm Fisher currently lives and works in Milan, IT.
